Connie Hoyt- Graphic Designer/ Marketing
Graphic Designer is a very broad term, the field has many areas of specialties and offer limitless opportunities for career choices. If you are considering graphic design the first step is to narrow your field. Are you an illustrator, a web designer, print designer, packaging designer or is signage and wayfinding your thing? It is important to define a focused goal on how to pay the bills! Through your career, you may get to do these and many other more creative projects however creating a clear outline of your goal from the start will give you an anchor when the ideas start flowing. This understanding of the vast field will also help you in marketing what you can do for your clients.
I received a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts and Graphic Design through online courses which means being a self-motivated and disciplined student. I have worked as a Freelance Graphic Designer for about 3 years now. I provide consulting and design services for clients on brand development and marketing. I have acquired a few long-term clients which include a boutique real estate office of about 25 agents of whom I do a variety of marketing and design from Social media, print ads, digital billboards and much more. A full-service dog kennel where the focus was photography, web design and social media. With each client learning their field and how they should market their brand is intriguing. The field of graphic design is exciting and full of opportunities for creative expression however without a focus you could easily be overwhelmed by the range of career choices available.
With a passion for marketing and knowledge of print design I have recently expanded into the promotional products industry to assist my clients in marketing their brand. I love what I do and have a passion for design and marketing. With a focused goal success is just around the corner.
